I can totally understand you. really! This is a very common problem of some male friends.  As a girl, I like to give you some advises.
Firstly, you should find out the reasons why do you feel shy when you are tallking with girls and what are you worrying about? There should be some reasons. right?
Secondly, After finishing the first step, you should make your actions. Try to have some conversations with girls who are easy going in your mind and talk about some daily topics.
Thirdly, remember this how can you have a good relationship in this complex world without building a harmonious relation with females?

However, most of girls are very warmhearted.  They like to communicate with boys as well.
