I don’t agree this point. It is right that many people should have practical skills to obtain jobs, but I think it is not the universities’ duty.
In wikipedia web, the define of  university is an institution of higher education and research, which grants academic degrees in a variety of subjects. A university is a corporation that provides both undergraduate education and postgraduate education. Its duty is for the human development, for the human future, its goal is for human not for a person. If you only obtain a job, it is wrong to go to unversity, you can find a master and learn free practical special skill, if you have money, you can go to technical school. University study is useless for your future careers.
But unfortunate, there are few authentic unversities and few authentic technical schools in our country. Now I have found a suitable word to describe the most ‘unversities’ in our country.

i can't agree with the opinion, but i consider there is sth wrong with chinses high education system.may be it 's urgent to reform our high education system.
the only  propose of the education is to reacher our pontential.

It is a good topic for us. This pictures show us many social phenomenon. A lot of  graduates who have many certifications can not gain a job when he is graduated. Why does he can not gain a job? Because he has not ability that many company expect he should has. This result not only be responsible to our university but also our education system. We should attach importance to ability education form younger to older not only at university. I think that university is an institution which can responsible to the education of research and development. Regard to ability, I think our parents and society have many responsible for it. Please attach important to education for all-around development when you are a boy. Not only at university. So I do not agree with this opinion.

it is difficulty to say. Under the present situation of China, most of people will agree the former opinion, because the communcation skill and work skill will give more promise for the students to find a good job than the later.if you graduate from the university, you cannot find a job to afford the responsibility as a mature, you will feel frustrated.however if you live in developed countries, you will not worried about how to live if you are out of job, the goverment will pay for it. so you can lost in the atr and theory's paradise.
Back to China, we want to be a stronger country,so we eager to gain sucess and quick profit, to some extent, we neglect the study of the theroy and atr, which leads to the superficial  cognition to the natural science,and lacks the inspiration which comes from the atr to innovation.
what is the mission of the universities of our country,finding  a balance point between the both,.

Tt is the universally acknowledge that nowaday's knowleges are rapidly developing. In this time knowleges are changing everyday. A person's intelligence includes both the IQ and EQ. You give this qestion which is not so smart, this time is not discussion about teaching students practical skills or theoretical study and other sujects, the both of them are importance, the question is  how to make students get more effect in a university. Our educational system leaves something to be desired. They must to be reformed. The most of  textbooks are behind this time development, we should use an advantage of the internet and mult-media, but there are too much informations there. Universities should teach students how to study by themselves and give them the capacity of lifelong education. For example, I came here to study English, before I never study it in the school. Now I can communicate with foreigners and read English books, all this is through self-study. One of Chinese proverb say "Award at the fish is to fishing'. That is universities the most important thing must to do.

Yes, I totally agree with your point. However, this is not a debate topic. We just want to choose an easy and familiar topic to practice our writing and let more students come and say something here.
By the way, don't you think the "fishing" in your argument is a practical skill?
