1. The Scripture says,” And let us not be weary in well-doing, for in due season, we shall reap, if we faint not”.《圣经》说，“我们行善，不可丧志，若不灰心，到了时候，就有收获。” 2. Though our challenges are fearsome, so are our strengths. 虽然对我们的挑战是可畏的，但我们的力量也是可畏的。 3. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.值得一提的是我们以何种态度来迎接每一天，我们是可以选择的。 4. He labors as hard for a sham as would suffice to give him a truth.他为虚名所做的努力足以用来赢得真正的名望。 5. We find ourselves rich in goods, but ragged in spirit; reaching with magnificent precision for the moon, but falling into raucous on earth.我们发现自己在物质上非常富足，在精神上却穷困潦倒；我们登月时可以做到异常精确，但待在地球上却争吵不休、矛盾重重。 6. Eloquence, in fact requires many things: a wide knowledge of very many subjects (verbal fluency, without this, being worthless and even ridiculous), a style, too, carefully formed not merely by selection, but by arrangement of words, and a thorough familiarity with all the feelings which nature has given to man, because the whole force and art of the orator must be put forth in allaying or exciting the emotions of his audience.事实上，要做到能言善辩，需要多方面才能，如：博学多闻（惟其如此才不至于只有语言流畅而内容毫无价值甚至滑稽可笑）；风格得当，风格的形成不仅在于选择某一类型，而且依赖演讲者遣词造句的独到之处，依赖于对自然赋予人类的各种情感的洞悉领悟，因为演讲者的全部力量与艺术只有通过消减或激发听众的情绪才能得以实现。 [ Last edited by small8067 on 2010-6-7 at 17:20 ] |
