Abstract:  For the nonstationarity of target echo signals acquired by laser underwater target detecting system and the relevance between target echo signal and noise, in virtue of texture analysis of image processing, Gabor transform is used to localize the target echo signal in both time and frequency domain. Then the second features are extracted on Gabor transform coefficients matrix. After that trace of Gabor transform coefficients matrix and various eigenvalues are constructed to describe the target echo signal integrated texture information features. Experiments prove that features extracted on different targets by the proposed method are different and different targets can be effectively differentiated by these features. ©2009 IEEE.
