写Cover letter的一点建议，附模板！ 仅供参考，不要迷信！

看到还有人问Cover letter的，就把自己的贴过来，强烈建议不要发给每个人的都一样，要说一下自己目前的课题和对方的课题有什么联系，如果跨度小，我觉得不用说，要是跨度较大，就说自己的背景可能会给将来的研究带来什么好处。CV用pdf格式做为附件发，个人觉得把单倍行距，11磅大小就够了，不要超过两页。当然，你的文章和奖励特别多那就另当别论。 Dear Dr XXX, From the jobs.phds.org website, I was excited to see that a postdoctoral position to （把老板广告里的位置描述拷过来） is available in your lab. （要是对方没有打广告，而仅仅是你对他的研究方向有兴趣就用这一句，I write you this email to inquire the possibility to get postdoctoral training in your lab to continue my learning and professional experience in XX research.）I am very interested in this project, and I believe that my strong background in XXX especially the research experiences in XXX is appropriate for the position. I received my PhD degree just now in XX laboratory, XXXUniversity, 城市, China. During my graduate study, I have done much research work, mainly including the 用大约40个单词介绍你的工作. Some of the results have been published in XXJournal, （杂志名还是加粗吧，要是杂志好更要加粗，老板又没见过你，不看这个看什么呀？）respectively. By finishing all these work, I think I have grasped a wide range of biochemistry and molecular biology techniques, good scientific report writing skills, and also the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team environment. I guess that my experience in 简单的说一下你目前的研究和他的课题有什么联系. Thus, I regard that the work experience in 目前的课题 will benefit our research in your lab.
