截至到2010年4月SCI扩展版收录水文学学科期刊15种（SCI核心版5种），出版地为美国的水文学期刊5种，英国4种，荷兰3种、德国2种、斯洛伐克1种。 2005-2010年4月SCI共收录至少有一位中国作者（不包括台湾）的水文学学科论文521篇（2005-2010年4月SCI共收录15种水文学期刊文章8546篇，中国排在第6位521篇，美国排在第1位2575篇、英国排在第2位892篇、加拿大排在第3位733篇、德国排在第4位600篇、法国排在第5位551篇），其中2010年39篇（7.4856 %），2009年141篇（27.0633 %），2008年119篇（22.8407 %），2007年94篇（18.0422 %），2006年74篇（14.2035 %），2005年46篇（8.8292 %）。2004年8篇（1.5355 %）。 中国学者发表的521篇水文学学科期刊论文包括学术论文473篇、会议论文27篇、社论15篇、更正3篇、评论2篇、传记1篇。 2005-2010年4月中国研究论文主要发表在12种SCI收录的水文学期刊上：其中JOURNAL OF HYDROLOGY《水文学杂志》160篇、HYDROLOGICAL PROCESSES《水文研究》151篇、HYDROLOGICAL SCIENCES JOURNAL-JOURNAL DES SCIENCES HYDROLOGIQUES 《水文科学杂志》42篇、JOURNAL OF HYDROLOGIC ENGINEERING《水文工程杂志》39篇、HYDROLOGY AND EARTH SYSTEM SCIENCES《水文学与地球系统科学》38篇、HYDROGEOLOGY JOURNAL《水文地质学杂志》35篇、JOURNAL OF HYDROMETEOROLOGY《水文气象学杂志》18篇、JOURNAL OF CONTAMINANT HYDROLOGY 《污染物水文学杂志》17篇、JOURNAL OF HYDROINFORMATICS《水文信息学杂志》8篇、QUARTERLY JOURNAL OF ENGINEERING GEOLOGY AND HYDROGEOLOGY《工程地质学与水文地质学季刊》8篇。 主要研究单位有中国科学院（CHINESE ACAD SCI）221篇、河海大学（HOHAI UNIV）49篇、北京师范大学（BEIJING NORMAL UNIV）35篇、武汉大学（WUHAN UNIV）29篇、中国农业大学（CHINA AGR UNIV）26篇、中国地质大学（CHINA UNIV GEOSCI）23篇、香港中文大学（CHINESE UNIV HONG KONG）20篇、香港理工大学（HONG KONG POLYTECH UNIV）19篇。 2005-2010年4月中国学者在水文学学科期刊发表论文引用最多的论文为香港理工大学（Hong Kong Polytech Univ, Dept Civil & Struct Engn）在JOURNAL OF HYDROLOGY《水文学杂志》2006年第369卷第3-4期上发表的“Particle swarm optimization training algorithm for ANNs in stage prediction of Shing Mun River”论文，被引用43次。 2005-2010年4月在15种水文学期刊发文最多的研究机构为中国科学院（CHINESE ACAD SCI）221篇、美国地质调查局（US GEOL SURVEY）189篇、印度理工学院（INDIAN INST TECHNOL）126篇、英国生态水文中心（CTR ECOL & HYDROL）126篇、德州农工大学（TEXAS A&M UNIV）122篇、加拿大滑铁卢大学（UNIV WATERLOO）109篇、美国农业部农业研究服务署（USDA ARS）107篇、澳大利亚联邦科学院水土研究所（CSIRO LAND & WATER）101篇、亚利桑那大学（UNIV ARIZONA）101篇。 2010年SCI扩展版收录水文学学科期刊15种: 1. The objective of these communications is to improve our understanding of hydrological processes. The scope of the journal encompasses disciplines focusing on the physical, biogeochemical, mathematical and methodological aspects of hydrological processes together with research on instrumentation and techniques. The journal also publishes several issues annually, which relate to themes emergent from conferences, hydrological science societies and key research topics identified by editorial board members.
