难道其他哪个发行版能自带intel的函数库和编译器？
从来没有听说过在ubuntu上装不上intel的编译器和数学库。我装的intel编译器文档里写的系统要求：

Requirements to develop IA-32 architecture applications
       A PC based on an IA-32 or Intel® 64 architecture processor supporting the Intel®
        Streaming SIMD Extensions 2 (Intel® SSE2) instructions (Intel® Pentium® 4 processor
        or later, or compatible non-Intel processor)
            o Development for a target different from the host may require optional library
                 components to be installed from your Linux Distribution.
            o For the best experience, a multi-core or multi-processor system is recommended
       1GB of RAM (2GB recommended)
       2GB free disk space for all features
       One of the following Linux distributions (this is the list of distributions tested by Intel;
        other distributions may or may not work and are not recommended - please refer to
        Technical Support if you have questions):
            o Asianux* 3.0
            o Debian* 4.0
            o Fedora* 10
            o Red Hat Enterprise Linux* 3, 4, 5
            o SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server* 9, 10, 11
            o TurboLinux* 11
            o Ubuntu* 9.04
       Linux Developer tools component installed, including gcc, g++ and related tools
       Linux component compat-libstdc++ providing libstdc++.so.5
       Library libunwind.so is required in order to use the –traceback option. Some Linux
        distributions may require that it be obtained and installed separately.
       If developing on an Intel® 64 architecture system, some Linux distributions may require
        installation of one or more of the following additional Linux components: ia32-libs,
        lib32gcc1, lib32stdc++6, libc6-dev-i386, gcc-multilib

Ubuntu现在发展很快，用的人也越来越多
但是感觉用来跑专业计算软件还是有点太嫩了
目前许多开源计算软件本身提供的一些Makefile都没有针对Ubuntu的
跑第一性原理计算，感觉还是Suse比较好

Makefile都是通用的。。
如果你硬要说用企业版，我觉得最差的就Suse了。
桌面用用还行，YAST适合新手，其他方面的基本都不行的。真要按那些评测，Suse是性能是比较差的。
就算算东西其实是对系统要求最低的了，没有硬件问题，系统没有大BUG就OK。

我不用ubuntu.在Debian上试过可以装的。不过我们现在也就用用老师自己写的程序，没有用其他的了。
安装的时候注意看错误提示，少了什么就aptitude install 。
不过需要注意的是Debian/Ubuntu有些包和RHEL/Fedora的名字不一样。
一般说来各个linux发行版不存在除了某个发行版其他的装不上的情况。
难搞的就是比如像Vtune那种与内核版本有关系的，要自己编译驱动，有时因为内核版本过高无法安装。

内核都是一样的，肯定都能安上的。Ubuntu是比较适合新手使用的一个系统，我一直都用着呢
