【讨论】incubate应该怎么理解

A 0.1 g amount of chitosan mixed with a 0.0114 g Cd(Ac)2 was dissolved in 50 mL 1% (v/v) HAc aqueous solution and stirring for 24 h to facilitate a chelating balance. The solution has been purged with pure nitrogen gas for at least 30 min under magnetic stirring. Then, 0.0120 g Na2S·9H2O dissolved in 10 mL water was dropped slowly into the vortex of the mixed solution.
