昨天审稿结束,今天编辑就把审稿意见返回了,速度快!请有经验的大虾帮我看看审稿意见!是大修还是小修呢!有希望吗?
Reviewer #1: The authors describe a pirazole derivative as a complexing monomer for the preparation of surface-grafted ion imprinted polymer for selective solid phase extraction of thorium (IV).
The research is original and the results are good. They show that there are not significant  interferences with different metals as K(I), Li(I) and Na(I), Ca(II), Mg(II), Ba(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Fe(II,) Mn(II), Cu(II), Zn(II),etc.

The method should be demonstrated by analyzing certified reference materials which containing thorium. In addition, more practical real samples should be analyzed. The water samples used were not appropriate as no thorium was given by any of the sample, only spiking recovery is not sufficient.
Reviewer #2: The manuscript presents a useful application by using Th(IV)-imprinted adsorbent for selective solid phase extraction coupled with UV-Vis spectrophotometry for determining Th(IV).  In my opinion, this work is original hence, can be accepted for publication in Talanta after appropriate revisions described below.

*     Authors should carefully check the grammatical errors, erratum, punctuations, articles in whole manuscript.
*     In abstract, line 20; "Th(VI)" should be changed as "Th(IV)"
*     In abstract, line 2; "….chosen as a complexing monomer for the preparation…."
*     In abstract, line 2; "The silica gel, modified with maleic anhydride, was prepared as a carrier material"                                                                                                                                            
*     In Introduction, page 3, line 13; "As a result, a preconcentration or sample cleanup step, to facilitate selective separation of analytes prior to its detection, is required"
*     In Introduction, page 4, line 1;  "……it has several technical problems like huge organic waste disposal,…." should be written as ;  "……it has several technical problems like generation of huge organic wastes that are diffucult to disposal,…"
*     In Apparatus, page 6, line 1 and in figures and merits page 18, line 21;  "UV/vis" should be changed as "UV/Vis".
*     In Reagents and materials , page 7, line 1;  "Standard stock solutions of Th(IV), U(VI), Ce(III), La(III), and Zr(IV) (1 mg/mL) were carefully prepared…."
*     In Synthesis of SPE polymers, page 7, line 9; "1-Phenyl-3-methylthio-4-cyano-5-amino-pyrazole (PMTCAP) were carried out as reported in literature" should be written as "The synthesis of 1-Phenyl-3-methylthio-4-cyano-5-amino-pyrazole (PMTCAP) was carried out as reported…."
*     In Synthesis of SPE polymers, page 7, line 14; "….the mixture was refluxed  for 5 h…"
*     I think you should not submit to decimal points of IR spectra bands.
*     In Static adsorption procedure, page 9, line 11; "….the 25 mg of Th(IV)-imprinted or non-imprinted polymers…" please delete 'the' from this part.
*     In Static adsorption procedure, page 9, line 13; "….the mixture was centrifuged.."
*     In Static adsorption procedure, page 9, line 15; "….spectrophotometry using Arsenazo-III (0.05% w/v) as a chromogenic agent in  3 mol/L HNO3 medium at  a wavelenght of 658 nm."
*     Since the most reliable adsorption capacity can be calculated according to the Langmuir isotherm model equation, I think equation (1) should be defined as "The amount of the Th(IV) adsorbed by the polymer" Equation (1) can not define adsorption capacity.
*     In Effect of pH, page 12, line 1;  "….in the pH range of 1.0-5.0."
*     In Effect of pH, page 12, line 2;  "…the percentage of the Th(IV) adsorbed increased as the pH of the aqueous solution increased from…" should be written as "…the adsorption percentage of the Th(IV) increased as the pH of the aqueous solution was increased from…"
*     In Effect of pH, page 12, line 5; "protonnation" should be changed as "protonation"
*     In Uptake kinetics, page 12, line 10; "Uptake kinetics of Th(IV) on the imprinted polymers were also examined…."
*     In The static adsorption capacity, page 14, line 5; the unit of the Langmuir constant (b) should be changed into L/mol.
*     In Uptake thermodynamics, page 14, line 13; "…..polymers was studied in the temperature range of 25-45 °C."
*     In Uptake thermodynamics, page 14, line 16;  I think you should define 'Q' as the amount of adsorbed Th(IV) by the polimer. In this section the adsorption capacity can not be used.
*     I think in thermodynamic study you should use the following equation which is obtained from G = -RT ln Kd and G = H - TS equations.        
where qe and Ce are the equilibrium concentration of Th(IV) on adsorbent (g/L) and in the solution (g/L), respectively.这里的(g/L)什么意思
The ?H and ?S values should be obtained from the slope and intercept of the plot between lnKd versus 1/T, respectively.
The Gibbs Free Energy change, G, should be studied for all the studied temperatures (25-45 °C) by using G = -RT ln Kd equation.
*     In Effect of desorption condition and Repeated Use, page 17, line 2;  "…..quantitative recovery for Th(IV), when the flow…."
*     In table 2; for Wastewater1 the found value of the Th(IV) (101.30) should be changed as 10.13.  
*     In Selectivity of the imprinted adsorbent, page 18, All the stock numbers should be removed from the following cations: Li(I), Na(I), K(I), Al(III), Mg(II), Ca(II), and Ba(II) because you can not use stock number for the cations which have only one oxidation stage.  
*     Authors should determine the level of Th(IV) in real samples without addition and add these values in Table 2.
