The position involves some teaching, so mastering -- or willingness to learn -- French will be appreciated. The hiring level (post-doc or Research associate) depends on qualification and number of years of experience after the PhD. The group is currently involved in the preparation of the T2K experiment in Japan, in particular in the production and testing of the TPC tracker for the near detector, and in the related NA61/SHINE experiment at CERN measuring particle production in the T2K target. We are strongly involved in the preparation of analysis for the T2K data. The group has also been actively involved in the R&D in preparation of the future precision neutrino facility, in particular with a strong participation in the development of muon ionization cooling with the MICE experiment. The selected candidate will rapidly take important responsibilities in the group. Candidates should preferably be less than 32 years old. The initial duration of the contract is 3 years with optional extension. The post will be attributed when an excellent candidate will have been selected.
