Supported by the basin basic information database, SWAT model has a good applicability and reliability to simulate the runoff, sediment and NPS nutrients load of Shitoukoumen Reservoir Basin. Nitrogen and phosphorus load as well as their temporal and spatial distribution characteristics calculated by simulation were compatible with the nonpoint source pollution investigation assessment results. The actual spatial distribution of nitrogen and phosphorus load were consistent with the key source area of pollutant loss determined by landscape pattern analysis method, which achieving the mutual authentication between results from different research methods.
This study show that it is advantage to fill up a deficiency in using single method and is convenient to compare the different study results from different methods by using various methods which could synthetically employing in the basin scale of NPS pollution study. And it is also important for the solution of NPS pollution to use this various technical methods in the study of NPS.
