【2009-5-30】The 2nd International Symposium on Digital Manufacturing (ISDM）

ISDM is the symposium presenting the state of the art and future perspectives of digital manufacturing science and technologies, where industry experts, researchers, and academics share ideas and experiences in developing digital manufacturing, as well as discuss various issues, such as the frontier theories and technologies, breakthrough and innovative solutions and applications faced by the digital manufacturing world. ISDM 2009 will be held on 10-11th September in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei province, China. It is a successor of the 1st International Symposium on Digital Manufacture (ISDM 2006, Wuhan, China, Oct. 2006), and organized by Wuhan University of Technology, China, Manufacturing Engineering Centre, Cardiff University, UK, and the International Society for Digital Manufacturing, UK Papers related digital manufacturing are invited. Topics include but are not limited to the following: 1. Digital Manufacturing, E-Manufacturing 2. Advanced Manufacturing Technology 3. Sustainable Production, Recycling and Remanufacturing 4. Robotics and Microsystems, Sensor Systems 5. Rapid Manufacturing, Micro Manufacturing, Nano Technology 6. Multimedia, Virtual Reality and Enterprise Information Management, Quality Engineering, Productive Maintenance 7. High-speed Automation and Intelligent Control, Intelligent Manufacturing 8. Knowledge-based Engineering 9. ICT for Manufacturing 10. Design of Manufacturing Systems 11. Life Cycle Management 12. Collaborative Engineering 13. Networking in Manufacturing, Supply Chain 14. Education in Learning Factories 15. Emerging Technologies Important Dates Submission Deadline: May 30, 2009 Authors Notification: June 30, 2009 Final Manuscript Due: July 30, 2009 Registration Deadline: August 15, 2009 Symposium Official Language: English Paper Submission Prospective authors are invited to electronically submit a full paper (6 pages, approximately 5000 words, MSWord format) of their original work following the instructions available on the website http://conference.ijdmonline.net. Accepted papers will be published in a proceedings volume that will be indexed by ISTP, and available at the time of the conference. Outstanding papers, after further revisions, will be published in China Mechanical Engineering, Journal of Wuhan University of Technology, International Journal of Digital Manufacturing, International Journal of Computer Aided Engineering and Technology. Manuscript preparation Manuscripts should include the following parts (in order): Title, Authors, Affiliations, Abstract, Keywords, Main text, Fund and its number that support the paper if available, References.
