Dear colleagues, We would like to invite you to submit a paper to the Special Issue "Thin Films for Energy Harvesting, Conversion, and Storage" of Coatings journal. The aim of this Special Issue is to provide a platform for research scientists and engineers in the areas of energy harvesting, conversion, and storage to demonstrate and exchange their latest research advances. This thematic topic undoubtedly represents an extremely important technological direction for the current century, and has already seen rapid development in the past decades. Papers related to thin films and surfaces for (but not limited to) the following applications are welcome: • photovoltaics • thermoelectric generation • photoelectrochemical/electrolytic hydrogen generation • hydrocarbon production through CO2 reduction • fuel cells • supercapacitors • flow batteries • various types of rechargeable ion batteries. More details are available at https://www.mdpi.com/si/coatings/film_energy. The submission deadline is 31 July 2018. You may send your manuscript now or up until the deadline. Submitted papers should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Coatings is fully open access with an Impact Factor of 2.175. Open access (unlimited and free access by readers) increases publicity and promotes more frequent citations, as indicated by several studies. Open access is supported by the authors and their institutes. The Article Processing Charges (APC) for accepted papers are CHF 1200. You may be entitled to a discount if you have previously received a discount code or if your institute is participating in the MDPI Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP), for more information see: https://www.mdpi.com/about/ioap.
