[交流] 法国波尔多一大与国家留学基金委合作的博士项目

发简历的同学请注意： 1）英语必须有托福或者雅思（达到CSC的要求） 2）背景最好有一定的相关性：化学，物理化学或者化学物理，物理，材料专业的硕士学位，有从事过或者正从事软物质相关研究的最好了。还有广撒网，单纯为了出国而申请的同学也不要发简历了。由于名额有限，肯定是优中选优。

法国波尔多一大，研究工作在法国国家研中心旗下的CRPP研究所进行（两个单位在一起）.法国国家研中心类似国内的中科院系统，是法国顶级研究机构。

Grelet博士是法国国家科学研究中心的永久研究员，长期从事实验软物质方面的研究，在液晶研究方面做出了突出贡献，在物理学顶级期刊上PRL，以及JACS上发表过多篇文章，曾获得法国国家科学研究中心铜质奖章，国际液晶协会Glenn Brown prize。只要个人努力，在Grelet博士的指导下发表高档次文章，肯定没什么问题。
波尔多位于法国南部海边，气候适宜，以葡萄美酒出名。在法国读博压力小，讲究工作与生活相结合，让你在做实验之余有足够的时间游历整个欧洲。
候选人将在CRPP研究所进行从事博士研究工作，最后由法国波尔多一大授予博士学位。CRPP研究所属于欧盟的软物质联盟，读博期间有机会在欧盟的多个高水平研究所间交流。

题目：Self-assembly and Functionalization of a Model System of Rod-shaped
Particles: Toward soft self-organized materials

In the last two decades, the elaboration of materials through self-assembly processes has
emerged as a major scientific theme. The ultimate goal of such a research field is the rational design
of self-assembled superstructures with collective properties and functionalities that the primary
particles do not exhibit. Directing the assembly of (nano)particles of different sizes and shapes
becomes therefore a challenging task for which self-organization is a promising issue.
In this PhD project, we propose to study the composites formed by suspensions of colloidal
rods and soft and hard spherical particles (from thermoresponsive microgels to fluorescent
quantum dots) to address the question of their combined hierarchical self-organization. As colloidal
rods, we will use the model system of filamentous phages (fd or M13). We have shown that they are
ideal rod-shape particles to study the physics of liquid crystalline phases, as well as versatile
templates for chemical and biological functionalization. Specifically, we aim to understand the
structure and dynamics by single-particle tracking of the different self-assembled structures,
focusing on the effects of confinement, particle characteristics, and chirality.
A variety of experimental methods are available in our research group including standard
tools for chemical and biological functionalization, optical and electron microscopy techniques
(confocal, fluorescence), X-ray and light scattering facilities. Travel funds, and collaboration with
other scientific groups including Chinese ones will be available.
