Post-Doc position for Electron Microscopy (S/TEM) in Quantum Structures embedded in Nanowires:
Study of the structure and chemistry at the atomic scale correlated to the physical properties at the nanoscale by advanced Electron Nanoscopy in low-dimensional nano and quantum structures (nanowires, quantum dots and nanoparticles) for energy applications and photonics/plasmonics/phononics. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years post-doc experience with high skills in aberration corrected STEM and related spectroscopies (EELS, EDX,etc.). Knowledge on electron tomography as well as on light spectroscopies as cathodoluminescence (CL) will be a plus.

Post-doc Program time schedule and process:
- There will be an internal call for “expression of interest”. Deadline for the internal call: 15th October 2016
- Those candidates preselected in the internal call will pass to the second step and have to submit a project before end of November.
- Fellows will start between January and March 2017
(1) Eligible candidates: researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference call deadline.
Contract characteristics:
Duration: up-to 3 years.
Living allowance/year: 37.350 euros (gross salary).
Mobility allowance/year: 3.600 euros. This mobility allowance will serve to fund the secondments expenses (visits to international microscopy research labs).
Relocation allowance: 2.000 euros.
