在四面体间的Er3+离子均匀分布在空腔中,但由于高场强、高极化率的Pb2+离子掺入过多,使[SiO4]与[AlO4]四面体畸变,甚至断裂,使得空腔中的Er3+聚集而产生交叉驰豫和荧光淬灭现象,最终导致Er3+的上转换红光增强及发光效率降低。

The Er3+ cations are equally distributed at the tetrahedral interstitial site. Due to the heavily doped Pb2+, which introduced high field and high polarization into the site, the [SiO4] and [AlO4] tetrahedra are consequently deformed or even start to break. That effect leads to he congregation of Er3+ at the site resulting in cross-relaxation and fluorescence quenching. The entirely process explains the enhancement of the red light conversion and the reduction of light emitting efficiency at Er3+.
