[求助] plosone投稿最长修改时间的问题已有2人参与

小弟投plos one已经经过了两次修改，第一次大修，第二次小修。小修后，又让第三次修改。返回意见大体如下：

Thank you for submitting your manuscript for review to PLOS ONE. After careful consideration, we feel that your manuscript will likely be suitable for publication if it is revised to address the points below. Therefore, my decision is "Minor Revision."

We invite you to submit a revised version of the manuscript that addresses the following points:

The text still needs a thorough revision of language and grammar. I have attached your submission where I show some examples on page 2 of your text (first bit of Introduction), but please go through each and every page to ensure that the manuscript reads better. I would encourage you to enlist the help of a native English speaker, or a professional editorial service.

We encourage you to submit your revision within forty-five days of the date of this decision. Please note that any manuscripts that require a revision period greater than 6 months should be resubmitted as a new submission to PLOS ONE. Any manuscripts remaining in Editorial Manager after 6 months will be withdrawn.

最后这段话，大意是说给了45天修改时间，不超过稿件修订不超过6个月之类。这段话是每次给审稿意见都会附上，也可能是系统自动生成的。
但有些不明白这里所说的稿件修订不超过6个月，是说这次让小修的最长时间不能超过6个月（因为有可能有事耽搁的话，45天可能不够用，申请延长），还是总的论文从提交，到最终的接收或拒绝状态，总共不能超过6个月？
我206.3.17日投的稿件，到2016.9.17就6个月了，如果真的是从提交算不能超6个月的话，时间真的很紧张了啊。
有投过plos one，知道具体情况的，请告知一下，不剩感激。
