The Institute of Network Coding (INC) https://www.inc.cuhk.edu.hk/ at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to an exciting project focused on the efficient FPGA implementation of network coding technologies, to commence as soon as possible. The contract will be 1-year, with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will possess a PhD degree in FPGA design or a related field, and have significant experience in FPGA design and programming. Prior research experience in communication and coding theory is highly preferred. You will join a team of researchers that are pushing the boundaries of network coding and its real-world applications.
The key responsibilities of the Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be to deliver outcomes in a research project and ensure that milestones are met, to work with colleagues and postgraduates within the project, and to prepare materials for publications in journals and conferences.
INC, founded in 2010, conducts forefront research on network coding and related fields. Our current interest is in the FPGA implementation of Batched Sparse Codes (BATS codes), an advanced network coding technology that can dramatically increase the throughput of a wireless multi-hop network. BATS codes have vast application potential in smart cities, 5G, Industry 4.0, V2X, rural networks, etc, and is expected to play a pivoting role in next generation communication networks.
The appointed Postdoc Research Fellow will be supervised by Prof. Raymond Yeung, Co-Director of INC and a co-founder of the field of network coding: https://www.ie.cuhk.edu.hk/people/raymond.shtml
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. Review of applications will start as soon as possible and continue until March 31, 2023, or until the post is filled, whichever is earlier.
To apply, please send an email to whyeung@ie.cuhk.edu.hk with a copy of your latest CV. |
