[交流] 澳大利亚昆士兰大学Prof. Geoff Wang课题组招收1名博士生 (氢气冶金实验方向)

1 导师简介:
Professor Geoff Wang is currently EAIT Faculty Director of China Research Partnership in the University of Queensland (UQ). He has been a lead researcher in modelling and simulation of the Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering processes, and has significantly contributed to the research areas of coal utilization, coalbed methane recovery, iron- and steel-making technology development, environmental sustainability such as carbon dioxide capture and utilization including CO2-sequestration. Over period of his academic career development, Professor Wang has established the strong collaborations with a number of Iron and Steel companies in China and Australia, and has extensive links with Baosteel – one of largest iron and steel companies in the world, and universities and research institutions both in China and Australia. He has over 100 original journal publications and about 60 refereed conference papers.

Dr Xiaodong Ma is now the acting group leader of the High-Temperature Processing (HTP) group and leading the HTP Program at JKMRC, SMI of UQ. He has extensive hands-on experiences in fundamental study and applied research including solar cell silicon purification, ironmaking, steel secondary refining, copper smelting, metal extraction from low-grade complexed ores, and waste treatment, etc. His research activities also extend to the development of high-strength and high-end specials steels by sophisticated control of second phase particles. He is a pyrometallurgical specialist with a strong interest lying in the decarburization of ironmaking and steelmaking with hydrogen metallurgy and lower CO2 emission technologies in the metallurgical sector.

氢基竖炉实验方向, 具体目标是 To investigate the metallurgical dynamics of hydrogen reduction of lump iron ore including the reduction morphology, metallisation degree, mineral phases transformation, softening and melting of lump iron ore

3 招生要求:
(1) 具有钢铁冶金、低碳炼铁等相关研究背景
(2) 具备材料表征和分析能力(SEM, EPMA, TEM, XRD, ICP, etc)
(3) 英语成绩:IELTS总分不低于6.5,小分不低于6.0;TOEFL (paper-based) 总分不低于570, 小分不低于5.0 in TWE (written), and 54 in reading & listening;TOEFL (internet-based) 总分不低于87,小分不低于21 in written, 19 in reading, listening & speaking
(4) 有发表学术文章优先
