About KENTECH (http://www.kentech.ac.kr)
KENTECH is a newly founded university in Naju, Korea, which is located in the southwestern Jeonnam province. Founded under the KENTECH Act (a special law approved by the National Assembly of Korea) in 2021 and admitted the first undergraduate and graduate students in 2022, the mission of KENTECH is to educate high caliber scientists and engineers to cope with worldwide challenges associated with climate change, cleaner energy, and business innovation in energy and environmental sectors. The university receives ongoing supports from not only the Korean government (Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy) but also Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), Jeonnam Province, and Naju City. KENTECH is the first of its kind among Korean universities in its special mission and status. The world\\\'s only research-driven university focusing on energy technology, KENTECH will spearhead interdisciplinary research based on (but not limited to) five key areas: Energy artificial intelligence, Energy materials and devices, Grid modernization, Hydrogen energy, and Environmental and climate technology. To foster interdisciplinary collaboration in these areas, we founded the five KENTECH Institutes where jointly appointed faculty members will collaborate to innovate new energy technologies. We aspire to build an open networking platform for energy research, where innovators collectively contribute in solving the world’s energy crisis in an open-source environment. We welcome your application to KENTECH graduate school. Be the driver of change!
