Professor Moris Strub is seeking applications for a full-time, one-year research assistant position beginning in August 2022 or at your earliest convenience thereafter.
Moris Strub is an assistant professor for Financial Engineering at the Department of Finance of the SUSTech College of Business. He has obtained a BSc in Mathematics and MSc in Applied Mathematics from ETH Zurich, both with distinction, and a Ph.D. in Financial Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before joining SUSTech, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Staff Associate at Columbia University. Professor Strub has broad interests in Financial Engineering, Mathematical Finance, Behavioral Finance and Economics, and FinTech. His research appeared in leading journals such as Mathematical Finance, Finance and Stochastics, Operations Research, and the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control.

Job responsibilities
General administrative tasks: budgeting, reimbursements, coordination of research group, organization of seminar talks and workshops
Assist in teaching: course development, preparation of teaching material, class coordination
Assist in research: literature review, funding applications, data collection, numerical experiments
Depending on interest and abilities: Conduct your own research project
Job requirements
Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields
Interested in working in an international academic environment
Strong communication and presentation skills
Mature, responsible, and honest personality
Fluent in Chinese and English
Able to stay and work in Shenzhen
Command of Matlab, Mathematica, R, Python, etc are an advantage, but not required
Command of LaTeX is an advantage, but not required
Teaching experience is an advantage, but not required
