Prof. Jin Ye is looking for several highly-motivated Ph.D. students and postdocs who have expertise in one of the following areas: power electronics, electric machines, smart grid security, control, and data analytics. The preferred start date is July 2022.
Dr. Ye is an associate professor of electrical engineering and the director of the intelligent power electronics and electric machines (IPEM) laboratory at the University of Georgia. Her research has been actively supported by the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy and Department of Defense. Her group is one of the first to study the security, reliability, resilience of power electronics and electric drives with applications to smart grids and electric vehicles. She is a general chair of 2019 IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference and Expo (ITEC), a publication chair, and women in engineering chair of 2019 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Expo (ECCE). She is an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology.
