This post will be hosted in the research group of Dr Lei Su in the School of Engineering of Materials Science at Queen Mary University of London. The post holder will work in a multidisciplinary team including researchers from Imperial College London, clinicians from Royal London Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital as well as the industrial partners. This post is available initially for 14 months funded by the Development Phase of EPSRC Transformative Healthcare Technology 2.0 for 2050, a high risk and high return initiative, may be further extended for an additional 3 years (subject to the outcome of the second-phase funding application). Candidates with a PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Materials, Chemistry or Physics are encouraged to apply. Previous experience with any of the following: ultrasound imaging, ultrasound measurements, ultrasound instrumentation, flexible and soft electronics fabrication, wearable devices, cleanroom and microfabrication, ultrasound transducers, biocompatible medical devices, will be an advantage.
