The Institute for Chemistry and Technology of Materials, Graz University of Technology has an open position within the framework of the project ECOCAPS funded by the Climate and Energy Fund in the 7th call Energy Research from October 2021, limited for 3 years: Project Staff / PhD Position (m/f/d) in the field of electrochemical materials science (30h / week). Duties and Responsibilities: In a consortium with the Karl Franzens University and an Austrian company, fundamental aspects of the function of an environmentally friendly hybrid supercapacitor are to be investigated and its development advanced. The focus at the Institute for Chemistry and Technology of Materials is on the development of environmentally friendly electrolytes, the production, electrochemical and structural characterization of the electrodes, and the testing of the capacitors built from them. Own research for the preparation of a dissertation thesis Participation in organizational and administrative tasks within the project If necessary, support in the teaching and examination activities of the institute Required Skills and Qualifications: Completed Master's or diploma studies in chemistry, physics or materials science.
