新加坡国立博后招聘: 基于人工智能的微型泳动机器人设计和规划

We are seeking to recruit a post-doctoral researcher to work at the interface between fluid mechanics, soft matter physics, biomimetics, scientific computing and artificial intelligence (AI) and join the research group of Dr. Lailai Zhu at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The position will mostly start from the second half of 2021 depending on the time required for the visa application and the availability of the candidate. The contract is initially for one year, and can be extended depending on the postdoc's performance and mutual agreement. The postdoc will be developing AI-powered control schemes to facilitate designing synthetic swimming micro-robots that can be manipulated in complex biological environments. The project is of computational and theoretical nature and will be guided by Dr. Zhu at NUS in close collaboration with Prof. On Shun Pak at Santa Clara University and Prof. Chong Jin Ong at NUS. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Dr. Zhu by writing him an email with an enclosed CV via lailai_zhu "at" nus "dot" edu "dot" sg Specific requirements: A PhD in engineering, physics or applied mathematics. A decent understanding of machine learning techniques and/or control theory, such as artificial neural network, reinforcement learning, feedback control and so on. A proven track record of applying such techniques to mechanical settings, or soft matter physical systems, or fluid/continuum mechanics problems will be a great plus. Basic knowledge of fluid/continuum mechanics or soft matter physics is a plus, but is not required. Experience in numerical methods and scientific computing is needed. Track record of numerical simulations of hydrodynamics, viscous flows or more general flows in other regimes, especially with moving objects will be a plus, but is not required. Familiarity with Python programming and one or a few of the prevailing machine learning libraries is required. |
