The aerospace theme at Cranfield has seen significant investment over recent years, including the development of a new ¡ê35million Aerospace Integration Research Centre, which opened at Cranfield University in 2016, with Airbus and Rolls-Royce as co-investment partners, following the award of funding from the Higher Education. The Digital Aviation Research and Technology Centre (DARTeC) is also being built at Cranfield University and will be operational by the end of 2020 leading the research into digital aviation technology. The ¡ê65million Co-investment support for DARTeC is being provided through a consortium of leading aerospace and aviation companies including Aveillant, Boxarr, the IVHM Centre, Saab and Thales ¨C as well as Research England and Cranfield University. |
