Dr. Sharif Md Sadaf will join the Institut national de la recherché scintifique-Energy, Materials and Telecommunications research centre (INRS-EMT) in September 2020. INRS is a graduate only research intensive university with excellent semiconductor research infrastructure, consistently ranked among the top 3 research institutions (#1 in Quebec) across Canada in terms of research intensity. INRS conducts both applied and fundamental focused research to the advancement of science. Dr. Sadaf is looking for PhD students to join his group ASAP.
Dr. Sadaf’s research experience and interests are focused on group III-nitrides and oxides semiconductor nanostructures and their application in electronic and photonic devices. He is an expert on high-quality semiconductor materials growth by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and pulsed laser deposition (PLD), nanodevice fabrication and characterizations. Dr. Sadaf’s group at INRS will continue working closely with the world leading research groups including National Research Council Canada, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, McGill University, The Ohio State University, Queens University, Canada Georgia Tech and Australian National University.
Interested students who are hard working, motivated and who have a strong background in semiconductor device physics, VLSI and semiconductor optoelectronics/photonics are encouraged to send him an email at sadaf.gist@gmail.com. Prior semiconductor device/circuit simulation experience would be a plus. |
