Monash-Suzhou PhD Scholarship opportunity in the area of Titanium alloy research Designing novel titanium alloy processing to enhance mechanical properties for aerospace and medical applications. This project seeks to develop or design thermomechanical processes for Titanium (Ti) alloys that improves the mechanical properties particularly that of ultrasonic fatigue. A novel processing route of Ti alloy will be investigated to determine its applicability for industrial applications. This project is seeking candidates with experience in thermomechanical simulation of metals however those with metallurgy and/or metal processing backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply too. The rigorous PhD training and state of the art equipment available will help the candidate for his/her future engineering and scientific career. The Monash-Suzhou PhD program is a 4-year program. It will allow the candidate to start of her PhD program in our Suzhou campus. After a year or so, the candidate will spend a year or more in Melbourne Australia.
