Environmental/chemical engineering: Research Experience in Phosphate/Phosphorus Removal Using Physiochemical Technology for River Water 6 July 2020 Job Type: Post-doctoral Fellow Job Institution: The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Job Description: The research group of Professor Irene M. C. Lo at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, would like to invite applications for a Post-doctoral Fellow position in the research area of phosphate/phosphorus removal from river water. The candidate should have a strong research background in (1) physiochemical technologies for water and wastewater treatment, (2) water chemistry and chemical analytical techniques (3) proposal writing experience, and (4) computer modeling for eutrophication and water quality. The ideal candidate is also expected to have proficient communication skills in both written and spoken English. Appointment will be made initially on a contract with 12 months, renewable subject to mutual agreement. Salary is 26,000 HKD/month or higher which will be commensurate with qualifications and experiences. Fringe benefits including annual leave and medical benefits will be provided where applicable. Interested candidates should apply by sending curriculum vitae, TOFEL or IELTS scores, UG & PG transcripts, 2-3 related publications, and 2 reference letters to Prof. Irene M.C. Lo (cemclo@ust.hk). Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until 31st July 2020. The anticipated start date is in September 2020. |
