Postdoctoral Position in Genome Editing and Cancer Immunotherapy The nanomedicine laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in the areas of genome editing and cancer immunotherapy (NIH-funded, R01EB026893). Our lab is interested in interdisciplinary and translational research that includes developing synthetic and biological nanomaterials, studying the nano-bio interface at the cell and molecular levels and applying nanotechnology in cancer immunotherapy. A particular interest of the lab is to develop a nanoviral hybrid delivery system for CRISPR/Cas9-based in vivo genome editing and utilizes this system for cancer immune checkpoint blockade. The position starts in January 2020. The appointment will be full-time for a 12-month period. The annual renewal of the contract will be contingent upon the performance. The starting annual salary for this position is $50,004. Requirements: The position requires a Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology, biomedical engineering or a related field. Candidates with backgrounds in viral vectors, genome editing, and cancer immunotherapy are highly preferred. The candidate should have demonstrated excellent communication and writing skills and a willingness to work in a research team.
