Ph.D Research Assistantship in Computer Science and Engineering at University of Louisville
Multiple research assistantships are available in the Department of Computer Engineering and Computer Science at University of Louisville (UofL). These RAs and post-doc, starting in Spring or Fall 2020, can support highly motivated Ph.D applicants or post-doc to conduct research with Dr. Wei Zhang, Chairperson and Professor at UofL. The research will be in the fields of graphics processing units (GPUs), computer architectures, compiler, and hardware security.
Qualification: Applicants should have a M.S or B.S degree (or Ph.D for the post-doc position) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline. Excellent programming skill in C/C++ is a must (CUDA or OpenCL is a plus). Research background or deep understanding in computer architecture, compiler, security, and/or real-time and embedded systems is highly preferred (but not required). Preference will be given to Ph.D. students who have had M.S research experience, publication, or relevant industrial experience, have strong analytic and problem-solving skills, and are highly motivated.
Application Procedure:
Interested applicants can send your applications to Dr. Wei Zhang at wei.zhang@louisville.edu, including the following documents:
• Statement of purpose
• C.V (or resume)
• Transcripts (undergraduate GPA>=3.0)
• Copies of TOEFL and GRE (The successful applicant will typically have a GRE combined Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning score of 295 or above.)
• Publication, thesis, project reports or other relevant materials
More information about the official application procedure can be found at https://catalog.louisville.edu/g ... ience-engineering/.
