The multiscale, multiphysics modeling of electrochemical systems lab in Mechanical Engineering, University of Massachusetts, Lowell is searching for 1 talented postdoctoral researcher in the area of reuse and regeneration of degraded LIBs. The successful candidate will use characterization techniques to quantify the degradation in the aged LIBs, such as SEI layers, rejuvenate the aged cells, and conduct performance testing and comparison. Skills/Qualifications: • Required: Hold a PhD in Engineering. • Desired: A prior background with Li-ion batteries. • Desired: Proficient with glovebox, GITT, EIS, XRD, XPS, TEM, SEM, MIP, etc.; Candidates should have a PhD in engineering related field. This is a one-year position supported with a yearly stipend $36000-$40000, with a high possibility of renewal based upon satisfactory job performance and research progress.
