Ph.D. opportunity at the University of Notre Dame (Environmental Engineering/Biotechnology) The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences (CEEES) at the University of Notre Dame is seeking PhD student(s) to work under the guidance of Dr. Na Wei in the research areas including biocatalysis and biotransformation. Underlying the abovementioned research areas is the combined application of molecular biology techniques, synthetic biology, systems biology (omics), metabolic engineering, bioprocess and environmental engineering principles. Prospective students with a M.S or B.S degree (or expected by the time of admission) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related fields are encouraged contact Dr. Na Wei. The starting time can be Spring 2020 or Fall 2020. The selected candidate will receive a competitive stipend, full tuition, and benefits.
