新西兰奥克兰大学化工与材料工程系 2019年 博士招生 a phd position with full scholarship ($25,000 pa as stipends plus domestic tuition fee, for 3 years) is available at the department of chemical and materials engineering, university of auckland, new zealand. the phd project is in the field of electrocatalysis for a range of applications including water splitting and carbon dioxide reduction. the phd student will be working in a multidisciplinary research environment from electrochemisty, materials science, and chemical engineering. the phd student has also the opportunity to collaborate closely with the experienced research scientists and engineers in the fields of solid-state physics, and computational chemistry. the university has well equipped laboratories and infrastructure related to synthesis, and microstructure characterization, and software and high-performance supercomputer (nesi) for first-principles calculations and molecular dynamics simulations. information about the faculty and department can be found online at: http://www.engineering.auckland.ac.nz/en.html. information about the nesi hpc facilities can be found online at: https://www.nesi.org.nz/services/high-performance-computing. o phd scholarship: the scholarship will have a tax-free stipend of up to nz$25,000 pa, plus domestic tuition fees, for up to three years; o eligibility: applicants must have bachelor degree in material science, chemistry or related fields. priority will be given to students who have english language certificate ready and research experiences in the electrocatalysis field or related. o admission requirements: bachelor (first-class honor) degree, master degree or equivalent in materials science, chemistry, or other relevant fields; o minimum english language proficiency requirements (if english is not the applicant's mother tongue): academic ielts: overall score of 6.5 and all bands 6.0 or better; or internet-based toefl (ibt): overall score of 90 plus a written score of 21; or paper-based toefl: overall score of 575 plus essay (twe) of 4.5 (all test results are valid for two years from the date on the test certificate.) o how to apply: directly send the following documents to dr. saifang huang (saifang.huang@auckland.ac.nz): - cv (please indicate the expected graduation date); - list of publications; - transcripts; - personal statement; and - documentation of english language proficiency (e.g. toefl, ielts, etc.) o deadline: 30 july 2019 or sooner (until the position is filled.) note: inquiries may be made to dr saifang huang, email: saifang.huang@auckland.ac.nz |
