the school of engineering has been the fastest growing school in macquarie university with the objective of attracting high calibre students and training graduates to meet the growing industry of technology and engineering. the university campus is one of the largest in australia, is home to offices of multinational companies including 3m, cochlear, fujitsu, konica minolta, schneider, qad, and is in the heart of the high-tech industrial area macquarie park. it is easily accessible with its own sydney metro station. associate professor anita ho-baillie has been recognised as one of the world leaders in the field of photovoltaics especially for her work in si, tandem and perovskite solar cells. she is looking for excellent students for exciting projects such as the i) integration of solar cells for buildings ii) sprayable and paintable solar cells and optoelectronic devices. iii) use of perovskite materials for high-performance optoelectronics devices such as ir leds, uv leds, nanowire lasers, memristors useful for telecommunications, sterilization, on-chip devices and neural networks. individuals who have a masters by research degree (gpa>=80%) in electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, or physics, or chemistry, or materials science, and the following experience are encouraged to apply for phd scholarships i) solar resource simulation ii) solar and/or optoelectronic device simulation iii) power electronics iv) thermal and light management for photovoltaics and optoelectronic devices v) material synthesis and characterisation vi) device fabrication and characterisation individuals who have a bachelor degree in electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, or physics, or chemistry, or materials science, and relevant work experience are also encouraged to apply for masters by research degree cotutelle and joint phd programs are available at macquarie university with many major universities in china: https://www.mq.edu.au/research/p ... telle-and-joint-phd for international students, please check the english requirement: https://www.mq.edu.au/study/inte ... nguage-requirements deadlines: i) interviews in june ii) application close in july for more details please contact associate professor anita ho-baillie (anta.ho-baillie@mq.edu.au). Speaking of GPA, I've checked carefully the firm requirement listed and found that my GPA may not meet it. As graduated from University of Manchester which adapts to a very unique degree assessing system, I got a merit Msc degree with an actually low GPA if by the calculation method of Chinese universities. I hope this situation could be understood with mediation and at least one thing I can assure Professor Anita is my very fluent writing and oral skills in English. 发自小木虫Android客户端 |
