Dear all,
Two to three postdoctoral positions are currently available in the laboratory of Dr. Goran Stjepanovic https://www.stjepanoviclab.org/ at the School of Life and Health Sciences (LHS) and Kobilka Institute of Innovative Drug Discovery (KIIDD), the Chinese University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen CUHK(SZ).
Our research interests is to understand the structural and mechanistic basis of autophagosomal and autolysosomal membrane formation and dynamics using a combination of state-of-the-art structural and biochemical/biophysical techniques. The available subprojects are highly interdisciplinary and range from mass spectrometry approaches to the study of macromolecular complexes using cryo-electron microscopy.
KIIDD is equipped with a state-of-the-art cryo-EM facility that includes two FEI Titan Krios equipped with K3 and Falcon III direct detector, Gatan Energy Filter and Volta Phase Plate as well as high performance computing resources.
The candidates with expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, structural biology or a related discipline, who are interested in interdisciplinary research are encouraged to apply. Hands-on experience in protein expression and purification, as well as functional analysis using biochemical and biophysical techniques, are prerequisites. Experience in membrane protein biochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, mass spectrometry, and/or cryo-EM is an advantage. Good writing skills and fluency in English are required.
If you are interested in this position, please contact Dr. Stjepanovic directly by sending a cover letter describing your interests in our laboratory and projects as well as your CV and a list of two individuals as references to goranstjepanovic@cuhk.edu.cn
Kind Regards,
Goran |
