美国普渡大学再生医学工程/免疫工程方向博士后招聘

Post-doc Position at Purdue University A postdoctoral position is now available in the Bao lab at the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering, Purdue University, to work on immunoengineering for cancer therapy. The fellow will help to make hematopoietic stem cells and immune cells (T, B and NK cells) from human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs), and investigate their effects on cancer treatment in mouse models. Primary T cells will also be employed. The research will apply multidisciplinary tools including genome editing, adeno-associated virus (AAV)-mediated gene delivery, deep sequencing, and stem cell engineering to generate off-the-shelf cell products for treating cancer or degenerative diseases. Eligible candidates should hold a Ph.D. in life science or bioengineering, or a related discipline. Previous experience with immunology, cancer biology or animal models is a plus. About the PI: Dr. Bao performed his Ph.D. research in Dr. Sean Palecek's lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. From 2016 to 2018, Dr. Bao was a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratories of Dr. David Schaffer and Dr. Douglas Clark at the University of California-Berkeley, where he worked on scalable production of neural progenitor cells (NPCs), and adeno-virus (AAV)-mediated gene delivery. Dr. Bao just started his own research group at Purdue University in Jan 2019, and it is now equipped with a unique combination of stem cell engineering and genome editing platforms, including Leica DMi8 fully automated inverted microscope, Beckman high-speed centrifuge and ultracentrifuge, BD Accuri C6 Plus and FACSMelody flow machines.
