[交流] 第一次投稿 JMPT,大修。我该怎么办?还有修改的希望吗?

第一篇英文论文,投稿期刊 Journal of Materials Processing Technology(JMPT),格式审查修改几次后投递成功,with editor一个月后收到大修意见。本文主要是关于激光熔覆喷嘴的结构优化,利用现成的软件做仿真分析,最后得到实验验证。Reviewer #1和#2,几乎所有的评论都是仿真模型的处理和计算公式上,实际上这并不是论文的重点,我该怎么回答?还有希望吗?

Reviewer #1:
The subject of the manuscript is relevant in order to improve the performance of laser deposition as a technology for restoring products and deposition powdered materials to objects with an increased surface area.
The authors propose the design of ***. In this case, the molten pool is created ***. In technical terms, this idea is well represented in the work. The experimental part of the work attracts attention and is of interest, especially the results of ***. This is the strongest part of the work.
Sample Text
To the weak side of the work is its theoretical part. The authors poorly represent the theory of two-phase mechanics. Sample TextThe justification of the selected models and the boundary conditions by the authors are simply ignored. I recommend to study the book: C.T. Crowe, J.D. Schwarzkopf, M. Sommerfeld, Y. Tsuji. Multiphase Flows with Dropiets and Particles.2012. Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
Remarks:
1) The turbulent gas flow for equations (1-6) must be justified by making the appropriate estimates for the Reynolds number. It is necessary to write out the boundary conditions. Where does gas flow in and where does it flow out and at what speed? What conditions are put on solid boundaries?

6) In Fig.12,15,19 results are roughly presented. The accuracy of the calculations is very low due to the coarse grid. Contour lines of concentration should not have kinks.
7) The fragments of the same type in Figure 19 (a,b,c,d,e) are too many, and they are poorly described in the text.
Based on the above, I recommend reworking the article and submitting it again to the editors of the journal.

Reviewer #2: In general the subject is of interest for scientific community.
Unfortunately several points are not clear and should be discussed in more details:
* Laser cladding is a large and complicated scientific /technological domain. A number of different physical/mathematical models were developed. What are the basic differences compared to them (more details are needed) and the limits of applications of the proposed model?
* The presence of substrate qualitatively modifies the gas dynamics near the powder deposition zone. That is why it is difficult to apply the present model for cladding.
* What are the limits of application of the obtained results relatively powder size distribution and powder density? Evidently particles trajectories are influenced by their size and inertia.
The state-of-the art is not properly developed:
(a) What is the difference in between commercially available ***, Including the ones for ***, and the proposed one?
(b) The same question concerning optical diagnostic of particle jet(comparison with the commercially available equipment) and already published results for jet geometry and particle-in flight velocity.
Experimental errors are not indicated.
Conclusions are too general.

In general, the manuscript looks like a technical report, and besides, it is not good enough. The scientific side of the work is missing. Poor English makes it difficult to understand the physical essence.
To the weak side of the work is its theoretical part. The authors poorly represent the theory of two-phase mechanics.后面的Sample Text为: Apparently, they use a ready-made software package, poorly understanding what is being solved and how.
