Recruitment for Postdoctoral Research Fellow A postdoctoral research fellow position is available at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. The postdoctoral research fellow should have extensive experience in nanoparticle synthesis using solution chemistry methods. Desired skills include demonstrated experience with solution-based chemical synthesis (e.g., solvothermal, thermal decomposition) and surface modification or functionalization of nanomaterials (e.g., ligand exchange, polymer grafting). The successful candidate will work on the design and synthesis of nanoparticles for waveguide amplifiers for photonic systems on a chip. The position is funded for ~2 years starting by June 2019. Job Requirements: • Possesses a PhD degree in Chemistry/Materials Science/Chemical Engineering or relevant field • Excellent written and oral communication in English • Able to work independently and in teams in a multidisciplinary setting • Possess a high level of personal initiative and motivation How to Apply Applicants should send the following documents: (i) curriculum vitae, (ii) two references and (iii) a writing sample or examples of any published works to Prof. Mei-Chee Tan, meichee.tan@sutd.edu.sg |
