The Department of Civil and Building Engineering at the University of Sherbrooke (Canada) is looking for PhD candidates with the background of building efficiency technologies.
Brief project description:
Ventilative cooling has been proved to improve building energy performance significantly as well as reduce peak electricity demand. The challenges to the application of ventilative cooling in buildings include fire safety and control strategy. This project aims to investigate building ventilation for achieving safety, thermal comfort and energy efficiency. Assessment on ventilation flow, control strategy and building energy will be conducted.
The successful applicants will be involved in related international organizations, including oral presentation and writing scientific paper in internationally recognised journals.
• Research background: experimental and simulation experiences on building ventilation and building energy
• English proficiency: IELTS 6.5, internet-based TOEFL 86 (minimum score of 20 for each module: writing, reading, speaking and listening)
• Communication and teamwork skills
Highly motivated students are encouraged to apply. Please send CV and transcripts to: Prof. Qi (email@example.com)
