Job Opening – Android/Java Engineer Intelligent Sensing Limited, a spin-off company from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, is dedicated to creating smart sensing technologies to provide people timely, accurate and personalized information on their health conditions, and thus to empower them to live a better life. We have a strong R&D team with expertise ranging from advanced flexible sensor technology, embedded system design to signal processing, physiological modeling, and machine learning. We are an international team with a multi-cultural background, coming from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Indian. Our working language is Chinese, English, and Cantonese. You will be working with the team members came from the following background: Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT), The Chinese University of Hong Kong(CUHK), Tsinghua University(THU), Shanghai Jiao Tong University(SJTU), Sun Yat-sen University(SYSU), Huazhong University of Science and Technology(HUST), etc. Three professors are serving as our Scientific Advisory Board, they are: Prof Zhao, Ph.D. in Physics, University of Cambridge, Associate Professor of EE CUHK; Prof Zhang, IAMBE Fellow, IEEE Fellow, AIMBE Fellow, Chair Professor of BME CityU; Prof Chen, Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, MIT, Associate Professor of MAE CUHK. We are hiring an Android/Java Engineer with Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science or related subjects. Your duty is: (1) Collaborate with the Embedded System Engineer to develop an Android APP to control the hardware; (2) Implement our algorithm in the Mobile App (Translate our MATLAB algorithm into Java and decrease the complexity of the algorithm to run in the mobile APP). The following expertise is essential: • Proficiency in Java programming; • Experience in Bluetooth Low-energy (BLE); • Experience in Data Structure and Algorithm; • 1~3 years working experiences (fresh graduates are also welcome). We offer: (1) Salary HK$ 16,000 - 32,000/month (depend on the qualification of the candidate); (2) Medical insurance; (3) MPF; (4) Hong Kong Working VISA (Become Permanent Resident after working in Hong Kong for seven years); (5) Good working environment, Free access to CUHK facility, Free access to THE INTERNET, Genuine software, etc. Those who are interested in working with us, please send your CV (English or Chinese) with a short cover letter to Dr. Yu (hr@ints.hk). As a reference: If one gets 20,000HKD/month in Hong Kong, after deducting the house rent 4,500HKD/month, food, fruit and travel expense 4,500HKD/month, and MPF 1,000HKD/month, he/she will get 10,000HKD/month saving. The tax for this person is 4,800HKD at the end of the financial YEAR (For Reference ONLY). The overall saving will be: 115,200HKD in cash + 24,000HKD in MPF. MPF: 5% of monthly salary, or 1,500HKD if the salary higher than 30,000HKD.
