Postdoctoral Fellowship in Innate Immunity
Applications are invited from postdoctoral researchers to conduct research within the Molecular
Immunology Laboratory of Prof. Paul Moynagh at Maynooth University. The laboratory is interested in
innate immune signalling and its relevance to inflammatory diseases. This post is funded by the financial
support of Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) under Grant Number SFI/16/IA/4622.
Research in the Moynagh lab aims to explore, at the molecular, cellular and whole organism
levels, how novel proteins regulate ubiquitination pathways in innate immunity and how this
relates to physiology and pathophysiology. The research will combine state-of-the-art
approaches in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, innate immune signalling, genetic
and disease models.
More information on the research efforts of Prof, Moynagh¡¯s laboratory can be obtained from the
following publications (Humphries et al. (2018) Nature Communications 9(1):1560; Yang et al. (2014)
Immunity 41:973-987; Yang et al (2013) Nature Immunology 14:927-936; Moynagh (2014) Nature
Reviews Immunology 14:122-131).
Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant scientific area such as Immunology, Biochemistry, Cell
Biology or related discipline.
