特拉维夫大学生科院Rop研究博后招聘已有1人参与
hi all,
We are looking for postdocs to work on projects related to cell polarity regulation by ROP GTPases and Ca2+ binding proteins.
The function of ROPs is still largely not well understood because most of their effectors have not been identified and characterized and it is not well known what signals lead to their activation. To tackle these problems we have identified novel family of ROP effectors called ICRs that we are actively characterizing. During this work we identified two Ca2+ binding proteins that interact with one of the ICRs and are involved in auxin and stress signalling. In parallel, we have generated mutants in several ROP proteins and generated transgenic line that allow activation and inactivation of ROPs in cell and tissue specific fashion. We are also generating molecular markers that would allow determining ROP activation status in cell and tissue-sprecific manner. More recently we have expanded our work to tomato and using CRISPR/Cas9 assisted genome editing have generated mutants in several ROPs genes.
We are using diverse technologies in our research including, genome editing, genomic, phenomics, plant and yeast genetics, confocal microscopy, image analysis, and biochemical methods to study protein-protein interactions and structure including CD-spectroscopy, MST, ITC and SEC-MALS.
Our previous studies were published in leading journals including Current Biology, PLoS Biology, PNAS, Plant Cell, Plant Journal, Plant Physiology, MCB and MBoC.
Professor Shaul Yalovsky serves as an editor in two leading journal in the plant field: Plant Physiology and Molecular Plant and has an active collaboration with Chinese scientists from China Agricultural University in Beijing.
Potential candidates would be involved in exciting projects that examine the interface between development abiotic and biotic stress responses.
