In general, both sexes should be included in an animal experiment. Moreover, some clarifications are needed. The abstract needs to be rewritten in quantitative terms--how many hamsters per group, for how long, with what quantitative statistically significant results for key findings? It would be better to note the % fat in the diet rather than calling it "high fat". The introduction should briefly explain why the choice of soybean sterols and why these amounts were chosen. Why were only males used in the study?
