Prof. Kalantar-Zadeh invites applications for PhD study at the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. The research scopes of Prof. Kalantar-Zadeh's group are highly multidisciplinary. Graduate students background in chemical engineering, material Science, electronics, mechanical engineering, or other related fields are encouraged to apply. Excellent communication and writing skills in English are essential. A master's degree and good IELTS or TOEFL scores are required for the applicants. Kourosh Kalantar-Zadeh will start his professorial position at the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia from the 1st of August 2018. He is currently a Distinguished Professor in School of Engineering and the Director of the Centre for Advanced Electronics and Sensors (CADES) at RMIT, Melbourne, Australia.
Prof. Kalantar-Zadeh's discoveries and breakthroughs span the fields of liquid metals, electronic materials, two dimensional semiconductors, microfluidics and ingestible medical devices. Prof Kalantar-Zadeh has nearly published 400 scientific papers in prestigious journals including Science, Nature Electronics, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Nano Letters, Advanced Materials and Gastroenterology.
Prof. Kalantar-Zadeh serves as an editorial board member of journals such as Applied Materials Today, ACS Sensors, ACS Applied Nano Materials and Nano-Micro Letters. Prof. Kalantar-Zadeh has been awarded many national and international awards including the 2017 IEEE Sensor Council Achievement and 2018 American Chemical Society Advances in Measurement Science Lectureship (Asia-Pacific region) awards for his achievements in the fields of sensors and materials. |
