PostDoc Position in Biomedical SERS

The Integrative Biomedical Materials and Nanomedicine Lab
(https://www.upf.edu/web/nanomed ) from the Department of Experimental and Health
Sciences of University Pompeu Fabra (DCEXS-UPF) aims to fill one PostDoc positions in
biomedical surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). We encourage applications from
exceptional scientists. Candidates must be experts on Raman spectroscopy and hold a PhD
preferably in SERS. Women are encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates will be highly accomplished young scientists with a strong capacity for
interdisciplinary research who will establish their first research group. They will also be expected
to actively engage in teaching of undergraduate and MSc/PhD students.

Research at the DCEXS
Understanding complex biological systems, particularly human biology and disease, requires
interdisciplinary approaches integrating experimental biology, computation and engineering.
The scientific focus of the DCEXS for the next five years is to strengthen and expand our
research horizons under the broad overall scope of molecular biomedicine covered by our
Research Programs. The DCEXS is organized in seven Research Programs
(https://www.upf.edu/web/biomed/programmes) and is supported by cutting edge core
facilities in flow cytometry, proteomics, genomics, microscopy, and scientific IT
