(帮朋友转贴， 有兴趣的同学请直接跟秦老师联系， 联系方式在帖子里， 谢谢！) PhD （or MS） Research Assistantship Available Starting from Fall 2018 or Spring 2019 Founded in 1869, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC) is located at Carbondale, Illinois, USA. Carbondale is the center of southern Illinois area, and it is located 90 miles southeast of St. Louis, Missouri. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is currently looking for highly motivated Ph.D. students to perform research in the fields of signal processing and deep learning for biomedical applications. Prospective students are expected to start from fall 2018 or spring 2019. Requirements: 1). Students with BS degrees in Engineering (Biomedical, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, etc), Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics will be fully considered. We are especially interested in students from signal processing, speech processing, and machine learning fields. Experience in MatLAB, python, C/C++, and other programming will be a plus. MS degree is highly preferred for the application of the Ph.D. position. 2). Students need to provide GRE and TOEFL test scores. There is no minimum requirement for GRE scores. Mimimum requirement for TOEFL is 80 on the internet-based TOEFL. Prospective students (both PhD and MS) will receive degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering after completing the program.
