Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant I in School of Biomedical Sciences, to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above preferably in molecular biology or cellular biology related disciplines; with experience in animal work, cell culture, cellular and molecular biology. Preference will be given to those with experience in tumor xenograft models and cancer biology-related research work. He/She will work under the supervision of Prof George SW Tsao on research projects relating to exploiting the functional significance of Epstein-Barr virus infection in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences, to commence as soon as possible for 3 years.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree, preferably in cancer, molecular biology or cellular biology related fields. Experience in animal work, cell culture, and basic molecular biology is required. Preference will be given to those who have experience in humanized mice and are familiar with flow cytometric cell sorting and microscopic imaging. Applicants should be self-motivated, have the ability to multi-task with attention to detail, be organized and be able to work independently as well as in a team. They should also have a good command of both written and spoken English. The appointee will work under the supervision of Prof George Sai-Wah Tsao on research projects relating to pathogenesis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
