Mi精通金属凝固和X射线同步辐射，鼓励和帮助年轻学生发表高水平学术论文并成为独立的研究人员，与 University of Oxford，University of Birmingham和 Brunel University保持紧密的学术课题合作，国内和清华大学以及上海交通大学也进行广泛的学术交流和访问，此外经常在Diamond Light Source，Argonne National Laboratory等欧洲顶级国家实验室开展X射线同步辐射方面的实验工作。 以下是老师是原话： Every year, there are ~15 China Scholarship Council and Hull University (CSC-HoU) PhD studentships available for prospective PhD applicants. The deadline for the 2018 entry is 15 February 2018. If you have any enquiries in terms of the application process of CSC-UoH scheme, please contact myself by sending an email to: j.mi@hull.ac.uk Prof Mi welcomes potential applicants in the research areas of ultrasound and magnetic field processing of materials, modelling and simulation of solidification processes using phase field method and finite element methods. In-situ studies of materials and materials processing using electron, X-ray and neutron beam are particularly welcomed. Professor Mi’ research interest and projects can be found via the weblink below: http://www.hull.ac.uk/Faculties/staff-profiles/Jiawei-Mi.aspx Jiawei Mi is the academic lead for the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing research theme in the School of Engineering and Computer Science. His expertise is on the design and development of advanced metallic alloys, composites and the related novel solidification, spray deposition and thermomechanical processing technologies. Previously, he worked at Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials, Beijing, China (1986-1998), the Interdisciplinary Research Centre, University of Birmingham (1999-2002), and the Department of Materials, University of Oxford (2002-2010).
