UNSW PhD Scholarship- Green Construction and Building Materials

A PhD position is available at UNSW Canberra, the Canberra campus of the UNSW in the area of green construction and building material. The PhD project will develop a new green construction material, examine the physical and mechanical behaviour of the material, and investigate the structural behaviour of panels made from the new construction material.
The candidate will be expected to have a strong Civil/Structural/Material Engineering background. The applicant must have the equivalent of a first-class honours degree from UNSW, and have satisfied the minimum English requirement for UNSW admission. Both IELTS and TOELF are accepted. For IELTS the minimum requirements are overall 6.5 with minimum 6.0 in each subtest. For TOEFL, the minimum requirement is 90 overall with minimum 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking. A Master degree or postgraduate study is desired but not essential.
The successful applicant, subject to satisfying the admission requirements, will be awarded a UNSW-industry scholarship with an annual tax-free stipend of around $28,000 for a period of 3.5 years. UNSW will also cover the tuition fee. Applications will be accepted until a suitable candidate is found.
